LOVE is a 4 letter word....

A Crowned and jeweled and a little Statute of Liberty MK Olsen, Ruby Aldridge floating in a sea of hearts, red poison and lace, sky-high shoe lust in socks, zipper shorts in fiery red, a daydreamer or a girl in love?

Moon River

How was your lovely Valentine's Day Spent? I had a romantic Italian dinner out, Lobster Ravioli and all. The buttered Pumpernickel rolls were superb as was the apple pie a la mode for dessert (topped with a pineapple chutney sauce.)

I thought it best to pop in my Anniversary diamond earrings, don red lipstick and a try my hand at a fancy up 'do (almost Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany's.) The song playing, "Moon River" was what we requested of the live band to play during dinner (a la Piano Jazz.) ♥

My shoes are from Nine West which I impulsively bought a few years ago, when Nicole Richie was seen in nothing but the originals (circa 2006) by Christian Louboutin.

Sun tan lotion

  • I'm still on the hunt for the perfect job. Ideally I would love to work from home like before, freelance writing about fashion and such. If you know of anything like that, please send it my way. I have a huge folder filled with my previously written articles as reference.
  • Here's to another lazy (kind of boring) Saturday, bleak in sunshine and dark with weather. I sense a looming rain nearby. I hope your Saturday is a better Saturday than the one I'm having here.
  • As always, I will try my very best to reply back to all of your comments, until I do, please remember that not a single one ever goes missed. Each comment brings me joy and a jolt of energy. Thanks for reviving me back to life. I LOVE YOU ALL. This video below should reiterate just that!! Enjoy (remember to bring out some popcorn, haha!)

I love you!

Weardrobe Challenge #1: American Apparel Circle Scarf

Suz and Rich of Weardrobe contacted me to invent a few different ways of wearing this lovely purple American Apparel circle scarf that they generously sent my way. We're calling it the Sisterhood of the Traveling Scarf! And this was my first "cozy look" taken just after a wonderful Chinese lunch. Here I am clad in my glasses and a houndstooth print newsboy cap. It was a chilly afternoon, so a sweater and my favorite ankle hi Minnetonka trampers helped in completing my cozy wares.

Click for Sweety.
She was also out and about in the sun with us that day!! =]

Morning Glory in Gray

I am not a morning person.. but.. I so love an early morning when I can have toasted (plain) English muffins with strawberry jam and butter which I then proceed to "dunk" into my Mocha café. I love waking up early to go to Disney world, pulling on sweats for class, warm chocolate croissants, watching MTV with breakfast, staying in bed with a really good song on my iPod, today's was "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay haha! Here's to those wonderful gray early mornings.

Happy Friday!

I call this The Carrie Bradshaw!

Call it playing dress up or call it reality. What difference does it really make? If you're happy with the outcome, that is what counts most, right? And that is what I pull from Sarah Jessica Parker and her alter ego, Carrie Bradshaw. Yes! every. single. time. that I watch Sex and the City; Carrie inspires me like nothing else. Each episode is like unwrapping a Christmas present, only leaving me with the urge to dig through my closet and come up with something new and different and always, very Carrie.

Voila!

A Year in Review

I thought it fit today to blog about some of my current favorites for 2009 as well as some favorites that haunted me through 2008 and still today. I am anxiously anticipating the arrival of my body con double-U neck minidress from American Apparel, in black with long sleeves. The perfect classic; alone or layered. Cat has convinced me to hit the mall today for some studded rings (as has MK Olsen) and Melissa talked me into making a stop at the bookstore for the perfect Fashion book. I'm craving multichain necklaces as well. I cannot wait to incorporate all of these trends and new ideas into my blog this year. I do have some secrets up my sleeve, all neatly written out in shopping list format, of course. I hope to score some of them today. If not, there's always tomorrow.

XO

UPDATE:
I ended up getting:
  • a slew of rings
  • a new scarf
  • a bracelet
  • and some very Carrie Bradshaw shoes!! xx
  • I had to order the book online, along with another ring and necklace. :]

I dream of Jeannie

I finally have some time to rewind and relax; after a long and exhausting week (and weekend) of Holiday hoopla! I was away for almost a week, 6 days to be exact. And now I must prepare for NYE '09. I still don't know what to wear. 50% chance of rain and 50% chance of a cold front coming through. Decisions. Decisions. Any ideas??? I look forward to reading some. On another note, Sweety, our Christmas puppy, learned some cool tricks. How to "sit" and how to "crawl" she's an excellent student. I hope to have some videos up later on in the blog.

Thank you Demi for this award. You left me all teary eyed with what you had to say!!

Fashion Chalet: She is one of the 'queens' of the blogosphere (haha) getting up to 100 comments on each post, yet she answers and replies to every single one individually. She could just be lazy and say 'oh thanks' but she doesn't, she actually cares and replies. I just find this so kind and amazing, it must be incredibly time-consuming!! And she is the loveliest person ever, inside and out!

PS: Your comments always rock my socks and never fail to impress and astound me. Thank you, my lovely readers!!! --YOU ALL deserve the award!!--

Cause I'm high enough from all the waiting...

With two new pairs of boots on the way, by mail, I'm high enough from all the waiting... I know, I have a serious shoe problem. But hey, why not indulge every now and again? I'm excited to showcase them on the blog, both so very perfect for Fall. More boots, scarves, sweaters and denim to come as I make the transition from a sauna-like summer to a cool-enough-to-wear-heavy-knits winter.

For those of you who loved these american apparel shorts last time, you can see them again in black, here.

And while you're at it, don't forget to check this very glamorous, very luxurious video (about Westfield Shopping Centre, UK).

Bohemian Like You

Feeling in a Bohemian mood, I turned to my brown 3-layer fringed Minnetonka boots. I'm sure many of you remember this dress. I thought the pop of color would complement the boots well. A few golden accents, and voila! instant frivolity.

On a side note, when you get the chance, I highly recommend checking out The Supermelon. They have recently updated their look, Bookshelf, & Have a Fresh Talk with Jack Siegel, along with the addition of a forum.

Have a fabulous TGIF and weekend, lovelies! Ciao!

Rapunzel, let down your hair

Tonight I think I'll be staying here. And you never did like this town. I talk out loud like you're still around. No. No. And I miss you. Going back home to the West Coast. I wish you would've put yourself in my suitcase... --Coconut Records
