Her name: Atlanta Noo de Cadenet Taylor Age: Only 17? Atlanta was born in England and her parents are John Taylor (Duran Duran) and Amanda De Cadenet. Her style is unique and really cool. She also looks like Rachel Bilson, just a little bit.

Caught By the Wind

(dress-vintage, shoes-DP, tights- Nordstroms, belt-thrifted)

I found this dress during a recent shopping outing to the vintage stores on Haight. At first glance it looked tacky and too big, but on closer inspection I found it full of possibilities. I got rid of the tacky rhinestones that edged the collar and cut out the extra large shoulder pads. I also swapped the matching belt with this extra long brown one. To create a more modern silhouette I decided to wear the dress backwards. These small alterations made a huge difference and this dress has a new life. That is the key to vintage and thrifted items, you have to look beyond what's on the hanger and see their potential.

Tips for Vintage and Thrift Store Shopping

*Know when to save and when to save- the Goodwill and a small vintage boutique probably won't have the same thing for the same price.

*Stores like the Goodwill are good for thrifted basics and DIYs. Vintage shops are perfect for specialty items.

* Go in with a clear idea of what items you are looking for- it's easy to get overwhelmed.

* Go to the cheaper thrift stores first then move your up.

I have an exciting announcement- Late Afternoon is going to NY Fashion Week! I will be blogging and twittering live from the tents. I am extremely thrilled to be going and obviously have began obsessing over what to wear. I get a little nauseous just thinking about all the impeccably dressed people who will be there.

I just bought these peep toe boots, fell in love while wearing them, and I think they will be joining me in NYFW.

Noot Seear, Wildflower

I love Noot, totally obsessed actually. From Elle (issue?) Looking fabulous. After reading your encouraging comments in regards to my previous post I feel better. Now I just want to lay outside among the flowers and then into the night to stare into the stars. Kind of like Noot is doing above.

When I look at the soft blue dress on her, all I can think about is hunting for just the perfect one for myself. One in almost or close to the same shade and fabric. One of the best sites around for doing such a search through would be a wholesale clothing site.

Hide Me Away

I feel like crap these days, unmotivated, depressed, bored, sad, alone. I woke up 3 times this morning and crawled back under the covers each time. I don't know what is wrong with me? Fall Fashion Shopping Spree

Book of the month! City Chic -the Modern girls guide to living large on less.
I first saw these boots in Seventeen Mag  and I fell in love.  Alice+Olivia are a fav for me, so to see these boots at payless ( yes, payless) was a total schock and I almost died..jk So I went to Payless today but to my surprise they are not out in stores yet, so before they go I went online and bought them there. Now they are mine!!! I sound crazy. But these boots make me CRAZY!!! Biker Boots!

There are my new fav Targer boots! They were 38 bucks and their in  such a classy color for fall. Lo0ve them..Im addicted to boots right now can you tell? l=ha ha
And my last pair of boots from cutesygirl.com I dont have any in this color so they  were a must for my fall wordrobe.
