FIERCE
These black "gladiator" heels are officially my favorite. They are super high and surprisenly comfortable! I had a choice between tan and black, obviously i chose the black ones. I fell in love with these shoes when i saw Sarah Jessica Parker wear them on Sex in the City: The Movie. She totally rocked them with a hot pink dress which was very feminine and added a black studded belt. I saw similar shoes like these by Jessica Simpson but were too expensive for me. So I kept looking and found them at Rue21 for 24.99! I know, AMAZING!

I Have this Great Love for natural colors....A bit safe, but they work in so many levels. I love this pallet from Costalscents.com I highly recommend it to everyone! As you can tell it starts left upper corner with highlights and it ends with the darkest black for a sexy smokey look. Girls, this seasons hottest smokey eye is a BROWN smokey eye.
Forever in Fashion
This was one of the surprises I had mentioned before. I had the honor of being interviewed by one of my favorite Online Fashion Magazines, a blog that is always on top of the trends; Forever in Fashion.
You can view the rest of the photos (and read) the full length interview here.
As for my Holiday weekend.. Thanksgiving went really well. I did, however, eat a little more than I should have. I could barely move afterward. We had:
- Turkey
- Pork, Yuca, Black beans and rice (it's a Cuban thing)
- Stuffing
- Salad
- Rolls
- Sweet Potato "mash" (by me)
- And my Pumpkin soup
- Pumpkin pie for dessert, along with chocolate almonds and cherry pie
- There were enough leftovers to eat it all again last night, even. Wow!
- Went shopping and found 3 great pairs of shoes; hugely on sale. My favorite? A pair of Nine West ankle booties in black patent leather goodness.
- Had a picnic in the middle of the Everglades National park.
- Took a lot of outfit photos, courtesy of the hubby and my brother.
Update!
I will be posting something new later today, sorry, it's just that things have been so hectic with the Holidays, family parties and such. I promise to update really soon, by tonight, most definitely! ♥

“Bad girls always wear red nail polish; on their toes.”
I thought I'd make this particular post a little bit about the things I most enjoy. Gilmore girls for one, where the idea for the title of this post came from. Getting to know Erika (Fashion Chalet) a little bit better, means spending time with me at the bookstore; sipping a latte while pouring over a myriad of Fashion magazines. Scouring Vintage boutiques for the perfect, already worn in, leather boots and bags. An afternoon lunch at Sweet Tomatoes; salad and soup anyone? How about a walk in the park with a great book to read under a large shady tree? Oversized sunglasses in tow, of course. Target, Nordstrom and Barnes & Noble are other frequented haunts. Classical music soothes me. The Olsens inspire me. Audrey Hepburn is who I aspire to be. Rodarte, Balmain and Louboutin are what I crave most. Chanel is my makeup. America is my homeland. Fashion is my passion. Shoes are my compulsion. Juicy Couture is my guilty pleasure. American Apparel makes my heart beat. Marc Jacobs used to make my heart soar. Forever 21 leads me to great dresses and off beat jewelry. John Galliano, a genius in my eyes. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein still makes me cry. Fringe is my favorite accessory on everything. I 'd love to walk in Carine Roitfeld's shoes for a day. Jak and Jil make me crave my addiction that much more. And, I anxiously anticipate the release of Where The Wild Things Are movie, slated for October 2009.
Dress: Vintage. Cardigan: Marc Jacobs. Tights: Target. Ankle Fringed Booties: Bakers.

The Eastern Glow
I'm over the moon with my Foley + Corinna leather bag in delectable eggplant. Thanks to the wonderful Shop Therapy contest, I was able to win this magnificent handbag. The leather is incredibly supple. You guys are amazing. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm also extremely thrilled with my new Oxford studded booties, courtesy of Newport News. I love you guys!! My brother was in town for the day, thus the outdoor shots this time around. Very exciting stuff. I had a blast pairing the minidress with knee socks, a la Silver. In other exhilirating news, I was happy to find myself featured in a website called Web Fashion Awards among many other stylish bloggers whom I greatly admire. Vote and comment for my featured entry here? Many thanks in advance. Another surprise to come; still in the works.

Let Them Eat Cake!
This weekend I will be celebrating my Grandmother's 83rd Birthday with some of my family. There is sure to be lots of laughter, cake and cheer in store. My Grandmother may be turning 83, but she still has the spirit of a teenager. "Laughter is the greatest medicine," she always says. I also anticipate seeing Madagascar Escape 2 Africa.
My Mom called today saying a rather large package arrived in my name. Here's hoping it's the exquisite eggplant Foley + Corinna bag I won from Shop Therapy. Thank you. Another exciting surprise was to find myself featured on the other Erika's blog today. Thank you, darling!! You inspire me, too. Here's to a weekend filled with enjoyable escapades all fueled by excitement. I hope you are all taking full advantage of the lovely weather this weekend.

Waiting for my Ship to come, but my Ship's not coming back ...
After enjoying a leisurely brunch in Miami Beach at News Cafe, I decided to pop into Barnes & Noble on my way home. Namely to pick up the Kate Moss Style book. To my dismay, it was already SOLD OUT!!!! Did anyone manage to get their hands on it? I want details!! For now, it will just have to go on my ever expanding Christmas Wish List ...

Queen of Hearts, I like strawberries with my wine
I was drawn to this blouse after having seen Nicole Richie in this little Chanel number. The tiny images of airplanes and yachts really grabbed my attention. Not to mention the bright pop of red, which is always a fun color to have in your wardrobe. For the new readers, I previously wore this top in my first v-log here.
An exciting email arrived for me this morning! I had to jump up and dance a little. The special surprise is on its way to me via snail mail, as we speak. It's ever so gorgeous, in all it's purple (my favorite!) splendor.
Top, belt and bag: Vintage. Shorts: Guess. Heels: forever 21.
